The Development Society is grateful to the shops, restaurants, partner companies, sponsors, institutions and the general public for their participation in the third edition of Santa Cruz Sal2 that took place last Saturday between 10 am and 10 pm and in which more than 160 shops and 11 restaurants took part.
Development Society plans to publish in the next few days several indicators that show the economic impact resulting from the celebration of this initiative such as sales increase by shops, restaurants, material distributed by sponsors, etcetera.
The event, organised by the City Council, through the Development Society, counted on the intervention of a dozen of bands, who performed in various parts of the centre, where it was also developed a comprehensive dinamization program for all ages.
The places used to the development of Santa Cruz Sal2 were calle La Noria , Plaza de La Candelaria, calle del Castillo, Plaza del Príncipe, Parque Boulevard , .calle Valentin Sanz , Plaza del Chicharro , calle San Jose , Plaza del Patriotismo and calle Perez Galdós .
The public parkings of Weyler, Parque Boulevard, Nuestra Señora de África and El Pilar offered 50 percent discounts on their rates, while Titsa increased its services and gave a four hours bonus to users who parked their vehicles in the bus inter-changer to go to the city centre by bus. Also, the tourist bus registered an important number of queues of users who wanted to do the tour of the capital of Tenerife, which at this time had a cost of 50 cents.
Throughout the day, the Development Society awarded the two businesses with better stand design and creativity and also the three most innovative businesses. The jury reached the following verdict: the first prize in the category of innovative trading went to La Casa Chiquita, the second was for Jumping Clay and the third was for Arjé Cake Shop. Meanwhile, the two creative awards of the stands were for Piñatas and Fiestas Joisa (first prize) and Kapricornio (second prize).
Santa Cruz Sal2 counted with the collaboration of the Party and Culture Organisations and the Chamber of Commerce, along with the sponsorship of Cuatromoción, authorised dealer of Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi, as well as McDonald's, Danone, CitySightseeing, Mutua Tinerfeña, Titsa, Avantis , Arco Cocinas, Kuserv, Fuente Alta Canarian School of Photography and Fashion, Sustainable Foundation Santa Cruz, Dorada, Libbys, Fred Olsen, Arjé, Weyler Parking, Boulevard Parking, Nuestra Señora de África Parking, El Pilar Parking, Lalo Electronics, Cajasiete , Movistar, Metropolitano de Tenerife and Cepsa.
